Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Learning Specialist to develop and deliver comprehensive learning programs to attorneys and staff across their Middle East and Asia offices, with occasional support for European locations. This role involves designing engaging onboarding sessions, creating practical learning resources, and partnering closely with instructional designers and key stakeholders. The Learning Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing professional development initiatives, delivering instructor-led and virtual training, and ensuring all materials reflect the organization’s high standards. Flexibility to work a later schedule on Thursdays is required to participate in global meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate training sessions for attorneys and staff, focusing on core technology platforms and essential firm applications, using a mix of in-person, virtual, and one-on-one instruction

Coordinate and deliver new hire onboarding programs for Middle East and Asia offices on a regular basis

Leverage virtual learning tools and platforms to create an interactive and engaging educational experience, while staying current with evolving digital features

Take the lead on select training projects, applying strong project management skills to coordinate resources and drive initiatives forward

Collaborate with instructional designers to ensure learning content is on-brand, high-quality, and ready for implementation

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across non-U.S. offices, aligning training objectives with business needs

Design, develop, and update learning programs, curricula, and supporting resources, including objectives, content, exercises, and assessments

Partner with HR professionals and department leaders to identify skill gaps, recommend targeted training solutions, and provide feedback to management

Participate in software rollout projects, including pilot testing, feedback collection, and analysis of results

Manage class rosters, attendance, and reporting within the organization’s Learning Management System

Provide regular metrics and reports on training effectiveness and participation as requested

Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging trends in professional development and technology training

Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements



Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience delivering effective technology training sessions both face-to-face and online

  • Solid technical skills paired with a background in project management

  • Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to internal clients on technology and training topics

  • Strong foundation in instructional design and training methodologies

  • Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, in English

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a track record of independently managing projects and seeing them through to completion

Education & Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Education, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered

  • At least five years’ background in a training or learning environment, ideally within a professional services setting; experience in legal industry environments is an advantage

Technical Proficiency

  • Comfortable using Windows platforms as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Deep familiarity with a range of software applications relevant to legal practice, including Office 365, major document management systems (such as iManage), and advanced document production tools (like BigHand Hyperstyles)

  • Certification such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) is desirable
